These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LetsCookIt mobile app and related services ("LetsCookIt", the "app", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using LetsCookIt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using LetsCookIt, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. User Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
During registration, you are required to provide your date of birth for age verification and legal compliance. By providing this information, you confirm that the date of birth you enter is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
One person may not maintain more than one account except with our express permission.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of recipes and content you post.
By posting content to LetsCookIt, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and otherwise use that content within the app and for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the service.
You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to post the content you upload.

4. Recipe Disclaimer

LetsCookIt and its operators are not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or suitability of any recipes posted by users. You acknowledge that cooking involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, burns, cuts, allergic reactions, and foodborne illness.

You agree to use common sense and good judgment before attempting to cook any recipe found on this app. Always:

Verify ingredients for potential allergens.
Ensure food is properly cooked to safe temperatures.
Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices.

LetsCookIt disclaims all liability for any injury, illness, or damage arising from the use of recipes found in the app.

5. Content Retention

You acknowledge and agree that recipes you upload may be retained and remain visible to other users even after you delete your account or the specific recipe. This is because other users may have saved, bookmarked, or interacted with your content. While we make efforts to remove content upon deletion requests, cached or saved copies may persist.

By uploading content, you grant LetsCookIt a perpetual, non-exclusive license to retain and display such content for the benefit of other users who have already saved it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Spam, harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
Attempt to access, tamper with, or use other users' accounts.
Post content that is offensive, harmful, sexually explicit, or violates the rights of others.
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app or its servers.
Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the app without our permission.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.

We may, in our sole discretion, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from inside the app. By deleting your account, you acknowledge and agree that:

All your data will be permanently removed, including your profile, recipes you've created, likes, bookmarks, comments, and follows.
This action is irreversible and cannot be undone.
Recipes you have saved from other users may disappear from your account if those users delete their accounts or recipes.

8. Content Monitoring and Reporting

LetsCookIt does not currently actively monitor uploaded content. You can help keep the app safe and appropriate by reporting any offensive, harmful, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate content you encounter.

To report a recipe, tap the three dots (⋮) inside any recipe card and select "Report". Reports are reviewed and acted upon according to our community standards.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at our discretion.

9. App Changes and Updates

LetsCookIt may update, add, or remove features, buttons, or functionality at any time without prior notice. These changes may sometimes result in the loss of some user information or content. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption, but we cannot guarantee the preservation of all data during updates.

10. Beta / MVP Status

You acknowledge that LetsCookIt is currently a prototype / MVP (Minimum Viable Product) in active development. The app may be subject to termination, significant changes, or discontinuation without advance notification. We recommend that you do not rely on the app as your sole repository for important recipe information. You can export a copy of your data at any time via Profile → Privacy Settings → Download My Data.

11. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the LetsCookIt app — including its branding, design, logos, code, and any content we provide — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

LetsCookIt is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy of recipes, nutritional information, or other content shared by users.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LetsCookIt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your access to or use of the app — including, but not limited to, damages arising from following any recipe, communications with other users, or unauthorized access to your data.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LetsCookIt and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the app, (b) content you post, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively before the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
